it all began
with a blog
I began my first blog in 2000, fresh out of high school and fascinated by the internet. Blogs were young then and the platform options limited, so I had to learn HTML to create a website that looked and felt like “me”.
From a love of writing and a desire to build connection, a career in digital media was born.

At ion interactive I created a content strategy program that was adopted for all ion services and SaaS customers. In my most recent role at ion interactive, I oversaw the Creative Services team, who designs, strategizes, and launches all services projects.
I contribute regularly to the ion blog as a thought leader in interactive content strategy and best practices. In addition to written material, I am often a contributor to marketing webinars that are used by sales to show best practices or industry trends. to prospects or customers.

Arrow Digital builds UX centered websites for enterprise level businesses. Arrow’s customers were often redesigning robust websites that received heavy traffic and often included complex code and tools to help accomplish user goals and needs.
At Arrow Digital, previously Arrow Consulting & Design, I worked on both the marketing and creative team to help customers create content that was effective at achieving their goals. My content strategy work included conducting content audits, copywriting, content strategy for content placement, lo-fidelity wireframes and mockups, and so much more. The Content Strategist role was new to Arrow Digital and I was charged with building out the process, expectations, and sales playbook for the program.

PowerWallet is a web-based financial management tool that helps users manage their budgets. As the Marketing Manager, I oversaw a team of three contributors who managed social media, blog content, and design services. PowerWallet’s parent company, Freedom Debt, Inc. also looked to my team for assistance with content creation and design services for their campaigns.

GHS Solutions is a financial services company that assists individuals in finding a solution to their credit card debt. As the Web Manager at GHS Solutions, I was responsible for setting up paid search campaigns that would bring in qualified leads as well maintaining our marketing website and launching social media accounts, which was at the time, a new territory. Additionally, my role at GHS Solutions included testing, updating, and supporting all IVR systems for customer service and sales.
